From: Barla Santosh, Gacsol [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: GCP Security Architect - Data Security and Governance Location : Remote Key Responsibilities: Design and implement security architectures for GCP workloads, ensuring compliance with industry security standards and best practices. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to protect cloud environments. Hands-on experience on IAM policy integration, Tagging, Data Labelling using SDP / DLP and Security Command Center Assess and mitigate security risks, including vulnerability management, threat modeling, and incident response strategies. Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and data protection mechanisms in GCP. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and GDPR. Develop security monitoring and logging strategies using Google Security Command Center, SecOps, and SIEM solutions. Optimize security configurations for GCP services such as VPC, Cloud Armor, IAP, Cloud KMS, and beyond. Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and risk evaluations to enhance cloud security posture. Provide technical leadership and security guidance to development and infrastructure teams. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud security architecture, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Hands-on experience with GCP security tools (Security Command Center, Sensitive Data Protection, Data Leak Protection). Deep understanding of IAM, networking security, encryption, and threat detection in GCP. Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and cloud-native security frameworks. Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks). Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and incident response processes in cloud environments. Scripting and automation experience using Python, Terraform, or Cloud Deployment Manager. Security certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in multi-cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of container security (GKE, Kubernetes, Anthos). Exposure to Machine Learning security and AI-based threat detection.
