Title: Mainframe Admin Location: Plano, TX Duration: 12+Months Experience: 6-8yrs Note: Please do not Submit H4ead, F1, L2ead CPT, OPT Job Description: Good experience in dealing with Migration projects - CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa. Competencies: IT IS_ AMS_ Mainframe_ System_ Software_ Administration Essential Skills: Deep Knowledge in Mainframe System Automation tools i.e., IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS. Experience in other Automation product like AF Operator & BMC Mainview AO would be an added advantage. Good experience in dealing with Migration projects - CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa. Proficiency in REXX, CLIST and Netview PIPE Programming. Installing and configuration of z/OS systems Perform z/OS debugging and problem analysis Desirable Skills: 1. Expertise required in Mainframe System Automation tools i.e., IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS. 2. Experience in other Automation product like AF Operator & BMC Mainview AO would be an added advantage. 3. Good experience in dealing with Migration projects - CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa. 4. Proficiency in REXX, CLIST and Netview PIPE Programming. 5. Responsible for developing & deploying automated solutions across the infrastructure to eliminate manual intervention, including automated IPLs, application recovery and auto ticket generation. 6. Expected to support Automation application through various upgrade/maintenance activities., z/OS upgrades, Data Centre consolidation, CPU Refreshes etc... 7. Need to support inherited client automation code, implement & support infrastructure critical event management, remote console access & paging. 8. Responsible for all automation tool functionality, design, integration, and implementation. 9. Transform client automation to standard toolset and experience in working with multiple complexes/LPARs support. 10. Good understanding of Infrastructure restores process during DR activities & tests. 11. Required Involvement in feasibility studies and recommending mainframe automation solutions across all the mainframe environments. 12. Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues. 13.
