Organizational Description The Data Engineering group in the Core Infrastructure at Morgan Stanley provides technologies and platform required to model, provision, transform, analyze, report, visualize, store, and protect enterprise data. The team is responsible for the delivery and operation of these products Position Description: We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic technologists to join our global central infrastructure data integration engineering team. The candidate will be part of Data Productivity and Integration Tools (DPIT) team and will be responsible for providing support and enhancements of many existing in-house tools (backend and frontend) to manage Morgan Stanley's data integration and data wrangling platforms such as Talend, Informatica, TDV, Dataiku and Delphix. -The candidate will also be responsible for building new tools to enhance self-service, automation and devops for these centrally managed platforms. -The ideal candidate is someone who has experience building distributed frontend/backend web services and is proficient with modern programming language such as JAVA, Python and Angular on Linux and Windows. -The candidate will: 1. Analyze development requirements and write technical specifications. 2. Design, develop, test, and maintain object-oriented Python modules, application, and automation scripts. 3. Develop, test, and maintain JavaScript/Angular user interfaces. 4. Utilize strong programming skills to implement distributed systems of multi-tier architecture. 5. Maintain and support existing tools and work with users while troubleshooting issues.
