Job Title : IT Risk Analyst V

Location: Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC , Hybrid

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Risk Analyst V to support our Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) team at Ally Financial. This role is pivotal in the implementation of the IT risk management program and ensuring the timely resolution of risk-related issues. The IT Risk Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to drive risk reporting, risk remediation efforts, and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical area of technology risk management within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

IT Risk Management:

Coordinate and manage IT risks and issues across the ETO, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of potential risks.

Risk Reporting & Action Plans:

Develop and present comprehensive risk reports and action plans to business partners and senior management through regular risk routines.

Collaboration & Consultation:

Work closely with technology and business partners to develop effective action plans for identified risks and manage remediation efforts.

Preparation of Risk Documentation:

Prepare materials for Enterprise IT Risk routines and Business Risk Forums to ensure alignment and transparency.

Issue Resolution:

Oversee the resolution of open control issues related to audit, compliance, regulatory, vendor, and self-identified risks within the ETO.

Process Improvement Leadership:

Lead and participate in risk-related projects and process improvement initiatives for the ETO.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Partner with Enterprise Risk, Compliance, and Information Security teams to ensure proper alignment in risk treatment strategies.

Risk Control Assessments:

Participate in Business and IT Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other duties as required to support the overall IT risk management program.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, Risk Management, or related fields. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Core Competencies:

Strong focus on customer/client relations, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver superior service.

Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Proactive approach with the ability to provide credible challenges to key partners.

Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in reporting and analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.

Strong project and process management capabilities.

Ability to thrive in a matrix organization.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Familiarity with the Archer tool is required.

Experience with PowerBI and Jira is preferred.
