Job Title: Senior Security Engineer Location: Texas City, TX Shift: US Coverage Hours (~8:00 AM 6:00 PM ET) Experience Required: 10+ Years Start Date: March 31, 2025 Status: Open Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer with expertise in IT Disaster Recovery, Automation, and Cyber Resiliency. This role requires strong technical abilities, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with application owners to develop recovery plans and automate security operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute IT disaster recovery and cyber resiliency plans. Work closely with application owners to design and implement recovery strategies. Extract and analyze data from APIs, databases, and messaging systems. Utilize Python, Power, or other programming languages to automate processes. Develop scripts and tools to support business continuity and security initiatives. Perform data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Excel, pandas, and NumPy . Ensure smooth integration and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Maintain high attention to detail, strong ownership, and accountability for assigned tasks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding of API endpoints and data extraction techniques. Proficiency in Python programming with experience in authentication and scripting. Solid knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis. Hands-on experience with Excel formulas for data manipulation and reporting. Strong ability to automate processes using Power, Git, and GitLab . Expertise in loops, conditional logic, and automation workflows . Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills . Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability . Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python, Power, or equivalent programming languages . Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, GitLab, and SDLC processes . Experience with IT disaster recovery, resiliency planning, and automation .
