Job Title: Network Engineer Location:Plano,TX Job Summary: The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of USC's network infrastructure. This role will involve working with a variety of network technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, security, and cloud networking. The Network Engineer will collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the availability, performance, and security of USC's network. Responsibilities: Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network solutions to meet the needs of USC's academic, research, and administrative departments. Configure and deploy network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation. Network Maintenance and Support: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues. Perform network maintenance and upgrades. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams. Participate in on-call rotations. Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. Wireless Network Management: Design, implement, and maintain USC's wireless network.
