Role: Sr. PowerBuilder Developer Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 10338 Description This position will provide application development and maintenance support for the Department of Taxation and Finance's Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). This includes support of legacy applications as well as modernization development efforts. Duties The selected candidate will assist NYS staff on all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a complex processing system. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include: Leading the technical design for new development and system enhancements Coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups Making changes in multiple systems to enable changes required by legislation Implementing technical solutions. Leading requirements gathering sessions Leading the analysis of requirements and system design work Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments Technical support of user testing efforts Mentoring of, and knowledge transfer to less experienced staff SQL creation and execution Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Software Developer Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience coding in PowerBuilder. 60 months experience in data transformation and loading using SQL in a Sybase Relational database environment. 84 months experience with an organization working in application life cycle including, requirements gathering, technical design, development, maintenance and end user support. 24 months experience with Java programming using J2EE technologies. 84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
