Job Overview:
A highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Migration Specialist is needed to lead the transition from an on-premises SharePoint environment to SharePoint Online. This critical role involves planning, executing, and validating the migration of team sites, publishing sites, and custom applications. The ideal candidate must have deep technical expertise in SharePoint, a strong understanding of migration best practices, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration Planning and Strategy:
Assess the existing on-premises SharePoint environment, including team sites, publishing sites, custom applications, and data.
Develop a detailed migration plan, outlining timelines, resources, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Migration Execution:
Perform the migration of SharePoint content, including lists, libraries, pages, and workflows, to SharePoint Online.
Ensure compatibility and configuration of custom applications within SharePoint Online.
Utilize migration tools to maintain data integrity and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues or errors.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct rigorous testing to ensure functionality, performance, and data accuracy.
Validate the migration against defined requirements and user acceptance criteria.
Document migration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
User Training and Support:
Provide training and support to end-users on the new SharePoint Online environment.
Develop user documentation and guides.
Address user inquiries and resolve post-migration issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in SharePoint administration and migration.
Proven experience in migrating complex SharePoint environments from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
Strong expertise in SharePoint Online features, architecture, security, and governance.
Experience with migration tools and techniques.
Experience migrating custom applications within SharePoint.
Familiarity with Azure Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
Technical & Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of modern SharePoint frameworks and development best practices.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
