Position : SAS Consultant-SAS Viya Analyst Location : a state agency client in Austin, Texas. a hybrid work arrangement (1-3 days in-office Duration: 6+ months contract Visa: Only USC/GC/EAD Interview: Video Job Description: Note :- We are seeking an SAS Viya Analyst with strong experience in administration, report development, and dashboard creation to support a state agency client in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will be an Austin resident available for a hybrid work arrangement (1-3 days in-office) and have experience working in the public sector, preferably with public health information management and reporting JOB Description Develop dashboards and reports using SAS Viya based on business requirements. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes or improve existing systems. Act as an SAS Viya administrator, handling cloud resource management, tool upgrades, server upgrades, user and access configuration, performance tuning, and overall maintenance. Conduct cost/benefit analysis of alternatives for business solutions. Document business objectives, define system capabilities, and review system specifications and limitations. Work closely with program staff and end-users to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs. Participate in testing, publishing, and promoting reports and dashboards as needed. Required/Preferred Experience 8+ Required experience in facilitating and documenting requirements, report development, data analysis, and testing reports using SAS Viya. Experience coordinating and communicating with business users and technical staff 5+Required Experience working with large-scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar environments. 5+ Required Proficiency in SAS Viya administration, including server upgrades, user management, security configuration, and performance tuning Preferred Skills & Attributes: Experience working in the public sector, particularly in public health information management and reporting. Strong knowledge of cloud environments and cloud resource management. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
