Please share resume of your candidate for this below requirement at [email protected] Job Title- RCDD Cable Engineer Location-Plano, TX TCS Contract positions: Skills: The role of the RCDD Cable Engineer is to provide technical design and engineering activities for all structured cabling, technology room/raised floor areas, backbone/riser and lateral distribution systems. The RCDD will play a part in project implementation and validation services in terms of cable infrastructure support for all infrastructure technologies, services and projects. Direct areas of responsibilities include estimates and scope development, design, design and bid documents, bid analysis, develop and administer RFPs, field surveys and validation of as-built drawings, should poses a knowledge and understanding of building codes and regulations, participate in project close-out support. Baseline knowledge of Wide Area Networking, Data and IP Networks and Voice is a plus. This role is part of a global solutions and service delivery organization. This position will interface directly with internal and external customers/suppliers; Global Network and engineering, product/project management, data center, storage, Real Estate and operations teams. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are a must. The candidate must be able to work on their own and in team settings in various sizes and locations. The RCDD Cable Engineer is considered a subject matter expert in their field and is expected to stay current with various technologies, maintain industry certifications, support organizational goals and industry trends to drive value. Desirable Skills: Critical Experiences/Education Required: Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, related field and or technical training. Must have strong analytical skills. A minimum of ten years experience preparing structured cabling designs in a data center environment, with commercial infrastructure experience desirable (tenant fit-out). . Strong background in IT service delivery role (i.e. engineering support for projects). Has participated in design and/or implementation of major IT projects. Experience in process re-engineering efforts (ITIL, Six Sigma, MOF/MSF, etc.) is a plus. Conversant with relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and BICSI structured cabling standards, and a working familiarity with how these standards are implemented in various regions (US, CALA, EMEA, Asia Pac). Working competence with modifying designs to meet customer-driven requirements and to accommodate unique installation challenges. Proficient with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook. Familiarity with Visio is desirable. RCDD certification is required. Management experience desirable. Conversant with the English language. Proficiency in other languages is desirable. Willingness to travel.
