This role requires close collaboration with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to define and implement data governance policies, processes, standards, and controls. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data management within the financial services industry, with investment management experience as a plus, coupled with hands-on experience with AWS. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices. Create and implement policies, standards, and controls to reduce data-related risk, partnering with business and technology teams to drive adoption. Define and implement data quality standards, measurement and monitoring controls, and issue management processes. Lead metadata management initiatives, including business glossary development, data cataloging, and data lineage. Utilize AWS DataZone to its full capabilities to enhance data governance practices, including metadata management, data cataloging, and compliance tracking. Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to promote data governance initiatives and ensure alignment across departments. Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise data governance Define, monitor, and report on data governance KPIs and program maturity, driving continuous improvement. Required Skills: Proficient in AWS DataZone and other relevant AWS services. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and implement governance programs that align with business strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with data protection regulations and compliance requirements. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field within the financial services industry. Experience in investment management is a plus. Proven experience with data governance tools, such as Informatica or Collibra. Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. Certifications in data governance or AWS cloud services are a plus.
