Job Title: Technical Program Manager Location: Austin, TX (ONSITE) ( MUST be Local ) Tech Stacks: Workday HCM & Finance Program Management We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in Workday HCM and/or Finance to lead complex, cross-functional Workday programs from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in Workday and have successfully transitioned to functional and program leadership roles, managing multiple large-scale Workday implementations and enhancements. As TPM, you will be responsible for driving Workday HCM/Finance programs end-to-end, working across business and technology teams to ensure seamless delivery, process alignment, and value realization. This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical acumen, functional understanding, and program leadership. Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership & Delivery: Lead and manage end-to-end Workday programs (HCM, Finance, or both), including global implementations, enhancements, and integrations. Oversee program planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment to business objectives, timelines, and budgets. Manage multiple concurrent Workday projects and initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization and resource allocation. Drive program governance, risk/issue management, and executive reporting. Technical and Functional Expertise: Serve as a bridge between technical and functional teams, ensuring solutions are aligned to business needs and Workday best practices. Collaborate with Workday configuration, integration, and security teams to ensure technical solutions are scalable and compliant. Guide functional stakeholders (HR, Finance, IT) through Workday design, configuration, testing, and deployment phases. Process Optimization & Business Alignment: Partner with business leaders to analyze, design, and optimize Workday-enabled processes for efficiency and scalability. Identify and address process gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for automation. Lead process mapping, documentation, and improvement initiatives tied to Workday programs. Stakeholder Management & Communication: Engage and influence senior stakeholders , including HR, Finance, IT, and external partners. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across all Workday program participants. Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to technical teams and business executives. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus. 5+ years of Workday program management experience , leading HCM and/or Finance implementations. Strong technical background in Workday (configuration, integrations, or architecture), with a shift to functional program leadership. Proven experience managing multiple Workday projects simultaneously in large, complex environments. Deep knowledge of Workday best practices, including business process design, integrations, and reporting. Exceptional program management and project delivery skills, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Workday certifications in HCM, Financials, or Integrations. Experience in both HCM and Finance Workday modules. Experience with global or multi-regional Workday rollouts. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
