The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Red Hat Linux environments. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Durham, NC. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers and systems. Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Manage system security, including patching, vulnerability assessments, and compliance. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Perl). Implement and manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and application needs. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide on-call support as needed for critical system issues. Stay updated with the latest Red Hat technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience as a Red Hat Linux System Administrator. Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x. Strong knowledge of Linux server administration, including storage, networking, and security. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible). Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management and patching. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable. Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NFS, LDAP). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
