Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title : Business Analyst Duration : long term Location : NYC Visa : No /CPT Job Description Interview: May require onsite interview A NYC agency in downtown NY is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst for a long term contract. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements, creating user stories, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in government agencies, particularly in the child support domain, is a strong plus. This role requires the consultant to work onsite. Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Elicit and analyze business/functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and document analysis. Develop detailed process flows to illustrate current and future state processes. Create clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and use cases. Design intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interface mock-ups. Documentation: Write comprehensive business and functional requirement documents. Maintain and update project documentation in Confluence. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test scripts and participate in QA testing. Report and track bugs encountered during system testing using Jira. Project Management Support: Assist with project estimation and planning. Track and report on project status. Follow up with stakeholders on outstanding items and action items. Technical Support: Provide support to staff with Microsoft SharePoint connectivity and issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 5-6 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with business users and technical teams. Proficiency in creating process flows and wireframes/mock-ups. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience working with government agencies, particularly in the child support domain (preferred).
