Some initiatives will lift new products, others will add features to existing products, and some will have data migration work. Experience with all such projects will be paramount. The role will require resources to roll-up their sleeves and join the team in the testing effort but foremost they will be asked to keep the team organized and on-task, working with initiative project managers to keep the overall initiative on schedule. These resources will be accountable for results. Therefore, I feel resources that have strong testing and business analysis skills will be ideal. On the testing side, they need to be comfortable with API, UI, and have experience with both functional and non-functional requirements. Another significant responsibility is to transition requirements to test plans, refine regression test sets and serve as a liaison to the automation team moving these sets from manual to automated.
