Heres a summary of the key requirements for this position: This job description is for a Network Engineer Investment Banking/Capital Markets role at NatWest located in Stamford, CT. It's a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in-office attendance. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement new network solutions, especially to replace End-of-Life (EOL) devices and services. Plan and execute complex network deployment cycles without impacting critical applications. Lead and participate in network implementation and cutover events, ensuring smooth transitions. Be available for weekend work related to production cutovers and urgent network issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize network upgrades. Work with a seasoned team to align network performance with strategic business goals.Required Technical Skills: Expertise in Cisco Networking (BGP, OSPF, Multicast, mLAG, NAT, VLANs, IPAM). Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls, Blue Coat, F5, GigaMon, InfoBlox, and NetApp. Google Cloud Networking and hybrid cloud infrastructure knowledge. Automation skills (using Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools).Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent. Relevant certifications in Cloud Networking (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure). Automation-related certifications (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working in the Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Fixed Income environments.
