Job Title: Lab Administrator Data Center & Linux SpecialistLocation: Austin, TX (Onsite)Company: TCS Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Lab Administrator with expertise in Data Center operations, Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing server installations, troubleshooting hardware, configuring networking equipment, and optimizing system performance.Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
Rack, build, cable, and provision Intel and AMD servers.
Deploy and configure Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
Troubleshoot server hardware and networking issues.
Perform power and signal integrity analysis for data center components.
Maintain virtualization environments and optimize performance.
Manage data center inventory, asset tracking, and lab operations.
Work on RAID configuration, server security, and database setup.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve IT infrastructure issues.
Document technical processes and provide end-user support.Must-Have Skills:
6-8 years of experience in Data Center operations, networking, and Linux administration.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Unix, and virtualization.
Proficiency in server hardware, cabling, and troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of GPU/CPU infrastructure, networking protocols, and cloud integration.
Familiarity with GitLab, scripting (Python, Bash), and DevOps pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Preferred Skills:
Experience with RAID levels, database installations, and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of AWS, VMware, and Kubernetes.
Hands-on expertise in network security, automation, and monitoring tools.
