The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and experience working with GIS technologies to support spatial data analysis, visualization, and integration into enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and other GIS platforms. Design and implement spatial databases, perform geospatial analysis, and manage geospatial data using PostGIS, GeoServer, and SQL databases. Develop custom GIS solutions and tools using Python (ArcPy, GeoPandas), JavaScript (Leaflet, OpenLayers), or other GIS-related technologies. Integrate GIS applications with enterprise systems, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based solutions. Perform spatial analysis, geocoding, and data visualization to support business decision-making. Optimize GIS applications for performance, usability, and scalability. Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. Maintain GIS data integrity, ensure compliance with standards, and implement best practices. Troubleshoot GIS-related issues and provide technical support to users. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Geography, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in GIS application development and spatial data management. Strong proficiency in Python (ArcPy, GeoPandas), JavaScript (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox), or C#/Java for GIS development. Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro), QGIS, or similar GIS platforms. Hands-on experience with spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server with GIS extensions). Familiarity with web mapping frameworks such as Mapbox, Google Maps API, or CesiumJS. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating GIS with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with geoprocessing, geospatial analysis, and cartographic design. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with machine learning and AI for geospatial data analysis. Knowledge of remote sensing technologies and satellite imagery processing. Familiarity with IoT and real-time GIS applications. Certification in GIS-related technologies (e.g., ESRI Technical Certification).
