The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, SolarWinds, or PRTG, and will have hands-on experience with performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning. This role is critical to maintaining network availability, proactively identifying and resolving network-related issues, and improving network performance across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Network Monitoring & Analysis: oConfigure, maintain, and enhance monitoring solutions like ELK Stack, SolarWinds, or PRTG. oMonitor network health and performance, identifying potential issues before they impact users. oAnalyze data to detect anomalies and bottlenecks in the network. oTroubleshoot and resolve network issues in real-time. oDesign, configure, and fine-tune alerting thresholds to minimize false positives while ensuring critical events are addressed promptly. oDevelop and deliver comprehensive network performance reports to senior management. oCreate and maintain dashboards for real-time network monitoring and long-term trend analysis. oAutomate repetitive tasks to streamline network operations. oWork with DevOps teams to integrate network monitoring tools with other infrastructure management systems. oOptimize network monitoring infrastructure for efficiency and scalability. oCollaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to improve network performance and implement changes. oMaintain detailed documentation for network monitoring processes, configurations, and best practices. oProvide training and mentorship to junior engineers on network monitoring tools and best practices. oRespond to network incidents, providing root cause analysis and identifying corrective actions. oLead post-incident reviews and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences. Skills and Qualifications Required: Experience: o12+ years of experience in network monitoring, network engineering, or a related field. oExtensive experience with network monitoring tools such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), SolarWinds, or PRTG. oStrong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.). oProven track record of troubleshooting network performance issues, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, etc. Technical Skills: oExpertise in network monitoring and visualization tools like ELK Stack, PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar tools. oExperience with SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and other network monitoring protocols. oExperience with scripting languages like Python, Power, or Bash for automation and data parsing. oFamiliarity with cloud-based network monitoring solutions. oStrong knowledge of network security concepts and how they relate to monitoring and performance.
