Mention your consultant visa status also Job title: Microsoft Global Senior Network Engineer Job Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Work Model: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Networking Services, Switching & Routing Cisco, Network Routing, Python, and Ansible. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement robust network solutions to drive our company's success. Required Skills: Deep expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and overall network infrastructure management. Advanced proficiency with network automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python) for developing and deploying robust automation solutions. Azure Networking Services Responsibilities: Dedicate approximately 75% of the time to advanced network engineering tasks and on-call duties, including managing all edge services and the MPLS mesh in datacenters Overseeing private Azure express route circuits, and administering DNS services hosted in Azure. Allocate around 25% of the time to strategic network architecture and design duties. Take a leading role in an on-call Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) rotation to swiftly address and resolve network incidents. Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate advanced network tools for enhanced monitoring, rapid response, and efficient remediation. Execute the planning, implementation, and maintenance of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network issues, managing escalations and providing mentorship to junior engineers when necessary. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and provide advanced training to stakeholders to ensure effective network management and incident response. Skillset: 10+ years of extensive experience in network engineering, with a strong track record in managing global network infrastructure and implementing enterprise network automation solutions. Deep expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and overall network infrastructure management. Advanced proficiency with network automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python) for developing and deploying robust automation solutions. Significant experience using and configuring network monitoring tools, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques. In-depth knowledge of network security, including VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and best practices for securing network infrastructure. Strong ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation.
