Position: Databricks - Data Engineer - CLT Location: Charlotte, NC or Cincinnati, OH hybrid(least 3 days in the office/ week) Duration: 6-month contract Visa: USC/GC only. Interview: video JOB Description Work Location - This person should sit in Charlotte and should expect a hybrid schedule, with at least 3 days in the office/ week. Cincinnati will be considered as a location option if no one can be found in Charlotte, but there is a high priority since majority of the team is located there. We need local candidates to Charlotte as a priority. Applicants must be ready for in-person interviews and onsite on day 1. Databricks certs will be great for this role but not a requirement. Job Description: A Databricks senior developer to design, develop, and maintain Data bricks pipelines. Qualifications: 5+ years of managing and administering the Databricks environment, including clusters, workspaces, and notebooks, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. 2+ plus years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions in Power BI Some of their responsibilities include: Admin capabilities to setup infrastructure in cost effective way. Configure and optimize Databricks clusters and resources based on workload requirements and best practices. Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and availability using Databricks monitoring and logging tools. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Databricks infrastructure, security, and integration with other systems. Implement and enforce security best practices to protect data and resources in the Databricks environment, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and data governance. Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence. Convert business requirements into technical specificities Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions such as reporting tools Build analysis services reporting models Establish row-level data security while comprehending Power BIs application security layer models. Integrate and alter the data while connecting and updating it from different sources.
