This person will be primarily responsible for developing queries, displays, reports for business use and regulatory reporting on a planned and ad-hoc basis. They will also be responsible for supporting the business intelligence tool, providing technical support and data support to analytics and other teams. How You Make an Impact: Performs analysis of distribution system and outage data stored in relational databases to support end users Develops and deploys SQL procedures and aggregation processes Becomes expert in data warehouse and company data sources Becomes an expert on outage event data in Oracle Utility Analytics and other data sources Develops and deploys reports and dashboards using Oracle Utility Analytics and Power BI Provide operational and strategic support regarding high level matters that impact the operations of the business Provide proactive feedback to management concerning potential problems and recommendations for improvement. Recommend process improvements for efficiencies and best practices Maintain high standards of data quality with a focus on documentation and repeatability Perform functional tasks such as requirements development, configuration, maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades to existing tools and applications Develop and maintain documentation related to support responsibilities and tasks Maintain technical proficiency and support knowledge sharing within the team Build productive relationships with internal customers and communicate effectively to understand and integrate their needs Foster innovation in processes and tools through automation and collaboration Provides backup support to other team members What Makes You a Great Fit: Experience in modern technology management best practices, especially source control management systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment environments with code and process documentation. Proficiency with SDLC, CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps) Self-motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision. Strong skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and multi-tasking. Ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively (verbal/written). Follow through on all aspects of assignments to ensure quality solutions and increased value to customers. Builds productive relationships with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. Ability to obtain Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and Insider Threat Program (ITP) security clearance is required. Required and Preferred Skills: BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, and/or related technical experience. 2+ years of experience with SQL programming procedures (SQL Server, Oracle PL SQL) is required 2+ years of experience analyzing data and creating reports is required Experience with relational databases (e.g., SYBASE, ORACLE, SQL SERVER) is required 2+ years programming in at least another analytic focused language such as Python or R is preferred 2+ years Report Visualization (Power BI, Tableau, related) is preferred 2+ years of experience in software development, implementation, and/or support preferred.
