Candidate to have significant experience in mobile test automation, with expertise in Appium and Java. Will be responsible for designing and executing automated test scripts, improving test frameworks, and ensuring the highest quality of our mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop Test Automation Scripts: Create, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium with Java for both iOS and Android applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Automation Framework Development: Build, improve, and scale automated test frameworks in Java to support mobile testing, ensuring reusability, maintainability, and scalability. Mobile Application Testing: Perform end-to-end testing on mobile applications for compatibility, performance, security, and functionality across various devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions. Cross-Platform Mobile Testing: Develop and execute tests across multiple mobile platforms (iOS, Android) using Appium to ensure uniform test execution and results. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated mobile tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) to ensure continuous testing and faster feedback. Test Execution and Monitoring: Monitor automated test executions, debug failures, and provide actionable feedback to developers to ensure issues are quickly addressed and fixed. Defect Identification and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and report defects, tracking them through to resolution while working with the development team to identify root causes and solutions. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other SDETs, to understand application features and contribute to test strategy and planning. Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior testers and engineers, providing guidance on best practices in mobile automation using Appium and Java. Test Reporting and Metrics: Generate reports and analyze automated test results, providing clear and actionable insights to improve mobile application quality. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in software development or quality assurance, with 3+ years specifically focused on mobile test automation using Appium and Java. Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Java for writing automated test scripts, creating frameworks, and debugging test failures. Appium Expertise: Deep knowledge of Appium and its integration with mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms. Test Frameworks: Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java and supporting tools like TestNG, JUnit, Maven, and Gradle. Mobile Testing: In-depth understanding of mobile testing strategies and best practices for both Android and iOS devices. Version Control Systems: Experience with Git and using Git for version control and collaboration in a team environment. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.
