Preferred Candidates: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Boston. Role Overview: Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly skilled Business/Data Analyst with expertise in SQL and Excel to join their Sales Tech team. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing Sales and CRM systems, specifically working with sales teams, sales managers, and technical teams to improve business operations and provide strategic data insights. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth business and data analysis. Document functional requirements and specifications. Create user documentation and execute test plans. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues promptly. Perform data mapping and integration tasks. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel (Python knowledge is a plus). Strong communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with Sales Teams and Managers. Previous experience working in financial services or investment banking (preferably in asset management). Experience with tools like Salesforce CRM, Jira, Tableau, and familiarity with Business Intelligence tools. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform under pressure. Knowledge of system design, data modeling, and technical architecture. Experience in the Salesforce CRM system and with Snowflake Data Platform is preferred. Understanding of Distribution/Sales systems and financial services industry is highly preferred. A Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience. Additional Requirements: Ability to document business and technical requirements clearly. Experience in developing functional specifications and collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and system implementation. Experience in data mapping, data conversion, and integration processes. Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset. Managers Expectations: The ideal candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential to interact with internal stakeholders, including non-technical teams.
