Client: CVS

Position: Product Manager

Location: Remote (her team is mostly EST or CST). Local would be preference in IL

Contract: 12 month - Eventually may want to hire Budget through 2023

GC or citizen

Interview: 1-2 rounds based on if her leads arent available when she is. TEAMS video

IV Times: Thursday 12-1CST or 3-4 CST she also is fairly available on Friday

*Manager is OOO all next week abroad and will pick up more screens after the holiday week*

Team info: Retail Org within CVS: Her team supports a few apps of retail pharmacy/RX connect (code system). These apps have been some functionally of RX has been coded. Either on prem or the cloud. Running independently serving a core. Latest tech stack (cloud/springboot/angular/UI components) NOT legacy tech stack. Hiring more on the agile safe route. Streamlining the team structure for the future. These are the main desirables for the roles

HUGE FOCUS: Looking for team leaders/attitude/communication/team player candidates will be asked scenario-based questions for soft skills they will have to give examples on what they do when running into conflict/how they handle conflict with stakeholders, etc.

Notes: This person will be working with external/IT pmo groups/stakeholders, so their communication and attitude must be client-focused/solid. Healthcare/pharma preference

The team is looking for a self-driven individual having proficiency with Agile practices and an understanding of SAFe concepts.  The Product Manager is responsible for establishing a relationship with the business counterparts to develop the program vision/strategy and ensuring internal product stakeholders needs and expectations are met. This is an instrumental role in the oversight and execution of programs within the Retail Pharmacy systems area.  Accountable for identifying customer needs, prioritizing program features, and guiding the general flow of work through the program.  In order to perform the role, they are expected to collaborate very closely with other Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, and Product Owners in a scaled agile environment

Key to the role will be:

Collaborating on the value proposition, strategic initiatives and roadmap
Working with the Business Product Manager to create features (MVP) and align to value (ROI) and to ensure delivery of value associated with the feature
Staying current with changing business priorities through ongoing interactions with Portfolio Manager and business
Continuously refining the program backlog to adapt to change
Monitoring feature implementation with Business Product Manager and respective Product Owners

Required Qualifications

- Overall 8+ years of professional IT experience

- 7+ years of experience in Retail Pharmacy systems or similar healthcare industry

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager

- A minimum of 5 years of experience Managing program backlogs, features, refinement, and user story development 

- Proactive individual with drive and capability to take ownership

- Knowledge of Portfolio Manager and Product Owner responsibilities 

- Capability of working with cross-functional teams 

- Experience developing a team culture to show high regard for adherence to quality standards and operating at maximum efficiency

- Leading with a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues in order to deliver quality products on time and within budget

- Experience managing multiple programs/projects, while managing multiple concurrent trains/releases and setting priorities to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Overall 10+ years of professional IT experience

- SAFe Certification

- Knowledge and understanding of the CVS Health software development lifecycle (SEP)

- Ability to influence Business Product Managers in adopting agile practices

- Familiarity with CVS business domains and the customer experience is a plus
