The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test frameworks, driving quality best practices, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality software releases. This role requires strong hands-on experience with test automation and a deep understanding of Gauge, BDD principles, and modern testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation & Framework Development Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Gauge. Implement BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) test cases to improve test readability and maintainability. Develop reusable test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications. Integrate Gauge-based test automation with CI/CD pipelines Quality Engineering & Testing Strategy Define test automation strategies aligned with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. Lead the creation and execution of functional, regression, integration, and performance test suites. Work closely with developers to implement shift-left testing and improve early defect detection. Optimize test execution efficiency and ensure test scalability. Collaboration & Leadership Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in adopting Gauge-based automation. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to align on quality objectives. Advocate for test automation best practices and drive continuous improvement in testing processes. Troubleshoot automation failures and provide insights to enhance test stability. Defect Management & Reporting Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, TestRail, or equivalent. Provide detailed test reports and quality insights to stakeholders. Support root cause analysis and work towards reducing defect leakage. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years as a QA Lead/QE Lead. Strong expertise in Gauge test automation framework. Experience in BDD methodologies and writing structured, readable test cases. Proficiency in scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript for automation. Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools). Knowledge of test integration with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr). Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in additional test automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Appium.
