In this role, you will collaborate closely with the automation team to improve existing processes, converting them into user-friendly dashboards and alerts. Your work will directly contribute to monitoring application health and supporting key automation OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). Key Responsibilities: Logging, Alerting, and Monitoring Enhancement: Improve and optimize application logging, alerting, and monitoring systems using Datadog and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) to ensure better system observability and performance. Collaboration with Automation Team: Work alongside the automation team to streamline current processes and transform them into easy-to-use alerting mechanisms and dashboards. These dashboards will be critical in monitoring and ensuring the health of applications. User-Friendly Dashboards: Develop and refine user-friendly dashboards to track real-time application performance, health, and alert statuses, supporting automation OKRs and improving operational efficiency. Continuous Improvement: Implement solutions that improve the scalability and reliability of monitoring systems. Regularly assess system performance and identify areas for optimization. Automation OKR Support: Ensure the monitoring and alerting systems are aligned with key automation objectives, providing clear visibility into application performance metrics that are crucial for automation OKRs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various internal teams, including DevOps, Development, and Automation, to ensure that monitoring and alerting systems align with broader organizational goals. Competencies: Digital: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) Digital: Datadog Essential Skills: 7+ years of experience in application monitoring, logging, and alerting. Expertise in Datadog and ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for building scalable and effective monitoring systems. Hands-on experience enhancing logging, alerting, and monitoring systems to improve application health monitoring. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the automation team to optimize processes and ensure that monitoring and alerting systems meet operational needs. Ability to design and develop user-friendly dashboards that effectively display application health and performance metrics. Desirable Skills: Experience supporting Automation OKRs through effective application monitoring and performance tracking. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus. Experience with other monitoring tools or alerting systems beyond Datadog and ELK Stack is a plus. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-8 years of relevant experience in application monitoring, logging, and alerting, with a strong focus on Datadog and ELK technologies.
