Job Description Our client, Starbucks Corporation, is seeking a Senior Azure/.NET Application Engineer to contribute to the modernization and automation of their platform. This role involves developing, deploying, and sustaining API and web-based services that connect in-store partners with internal business teams. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Microsoft Azure and .NET Core, with expertise in cloud computing, DevOps, and containerization. Key Responsibilities Actively participate in scrum ceremonies and contribute to the strategic roadmap. Design and propose technical solutions for platform modernization. Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and fully functional applications. Troubleshoot and support store partners with operational issues and maintain knowledge base articles. Optimize performance through debugging and troubleshooting. Ensure continuous integration and deployment through CI/CD pipelines. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of software engineering experience. 5+ years of experience with .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET MVC. 5+ years working with Microsoft Azure, including containerization, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, Virtual Networks, and Load Balancers. 4+ years of SQL Server experience, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures. 3+ years of API development, including RESTful services and third-party integrations. 3+ years working with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, branch management, release planning). 2+ years of experience with Azure Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management. Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Application Insights, Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Blob Storage, Queues, Key Vault, and Application Insights. Expertise in Azure Service Bus for messaging scenarios. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep for infrastructure as code. Familiarity with Apigee. Experience migrating workloads from IaaS to PaaS (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions).
