The SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This position requires working closely with business stakeholders to understand their financial and controlling processes and configuring SAP FICO to meet those needs. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SAP FICO, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to design solutions to streamline business processes. Key Responsibilities: SAP FICO Implementation: Lead and contribute to the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. Ensure that the configurations meet business requirements and follow best practices. Business Process Mapping: Work closely with business users to analyze existing financial and controlling processes, define system requirements, and map them to SAP FICO solutions. Configuration & Customization: Configure the SAP FI and CO modules based on business needs and requirements, including setting up company codes, financial statements, asset accounting, cost centers, internal orders, profit centers, and other related functions. Integration with Other Modules: Ensure proper integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules, such as MM, SD, and PP, to ensure smooth data flow across the system. Testing & Validation: Participate in the testing phase of SAP implementations, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and system integration testing (SIT). Validate the configurations to ensure they meet business requirements. Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and providing solutions to enhance the system. Respond to and resolve user queries related to SAP FICO. Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations and customizations. Provide training and support to end-users on SAP FICO functionality and processes. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing processes within the FICO module to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for process improvements and assist in system upgrades and enhancements. Financial Reporting: Ensure the creation and execution of financial reports using SAP FICO tools. Assist with the development of reports for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, tax reports, and other financial statements. Costing & Profitability Analysis: Set up and maintain product cost planning, internal orders, cost centers, and profit center accounting. Provide assistance with the allocation of costs and the creation of profitability reports. Month-End/Year-End Closures: Support the finance team during month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Required Knowledge & Skills: Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, including hands-on experience with SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules. Module Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in core SAP FICO functions such as general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), asset accounting (AA), cost center accounting (CCA), internal orders (IO), profitability analysis (COPA), and product costing. Business Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial processes, controlling processes, and financial reporting in a business environment. Experience in designing solutions to automate and streamline financial processes. System Integration: Strong experience in integrating SAP FICO with other SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, and integration with external systems. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and provide solutions. Configuration Skills: Ability to configure SAP FICO components based on business requirements, including working with SAPs IMG (Implementation Guide) to configure settings. Testing & Support: Experience in conducting testing phases, such as unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Knowledge of testing strategies and managing defect resolution. Reporting & Data Analysis: Experience in creating and customizing financial reports in SAP using built-in reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP BW, or other reporting frameworks). Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users and work collaboratively with business stakeholders. Documentation & Training: Ability to create clear and concise documentation (functional and technical) and provide training to end-users on SAP FICO functionality. Desirable Skills: Certifications: SAP FICO Certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Advanced Features: Familiarity with advanced SAP FICO functionalities, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori for Finance, and SAP FICO integration with newer technologies. Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and regulations, including IFRS, GAAP, and tax compliance. Project Management: Experience in project management or familiarity with methodologies such as Agile or SAP Activate for successful project delivery. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
