Title: TABLEAU DEVELOPER AND DATA ANALYST - REMOTE Location: Remote with occasion visits to the office Chicago, Il Please send local candidates only Duration: 6+ Months Visa USC & GC only This candidate must have experience in Higher Education institution and be located in the Chicago area We are seeking a Tableau Developer and Data Analyst with experience in Higher Education to refine and enhance ten existing Tableau dashboards. This contract position will focus on improving data visualization, design consistency, and stakeholder alignment. The consultant will conduct a comprehensive review of the dashboards, develop an enhancement plan, and implement approved refinements. The role requires expertise in front-end dashboard design, data storytelling, and applying best practices in visual design. This position is primarily remote, with possible on-site visits in the Chicago office. Therefore, candidates local to the Chicago area are preferred. What Youll Do Dashboard and Stakeholder Feedback Assessment o Review and assess ten existing Tableau dashboards. o Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders to improve usability and visualization. o Evaluate overall dashboard design for consistency, effectiveness, and brand alignment. Data Visualization and Dashboard Design o Develop an enhancement plan with recommendations for improving dashboard design and alignment. o Implement specific improvements to charts, visualizations, and overall dashboard aesthetics. o Integrate stakeholder feedback while providing clear rationale for any alternative recommendations. Implementation o Apply approved enhancements directly within Tableau. o Deliver documentation outlining design standards, visual guidelines, and best practices for future maintenance. What Youll Bring Proven expertise in advanced Tableau development and dashboard design. Strong ability to apply data visualization and storytelling techniques. Experience refining and optimizing existing Tableau dashboards based on stakeholder feedback. Experience working with Higher Education institutions, understanding their data needs and reporting requirements. Knowledge of brand consistency and design best practices (Branding Guidelines). Ability to document and communicate design standards for long-term dashboard consistency. Bonus Points For Prior experience working with public sector organizations.
