This individual will have a leading role in guiding a group of software engineers working on a high-impact AI/ML project related to vehicle qualityspecifically around transmission, battery, engine, and other critical components. This is not a traditional development role, but the candidate must be hands-on and able to code if necessary. As the Tech Lead, you will oversee and mentor a team of 30 engineers, ensuring technical compliance, security, and customization of solutions. Your leadership will help drive the success of the project, ensuring alignment with business objectives, while collaborating across multiple departments (business customers, product owners, IT). Key Responsibilities: Act as Tech Lead for a team of Software Engineers, guiding and monitoring their work. Provide technical direction and support for the team, assisting in product design and development. Oversee compliance and security standards across the project. Guide customization of solutions and systems to meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, and product owners) to convert business goals into technical solutions. Support the development and integration of AI/ML models for improving vehicle components like transmissions, batteries, and engines. Hands-on coding in Java, Python, React, and other technologies when necessary to solve complex issues. Monitor and guide the team through CI/CD processes to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration. Skills Required: 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack engineering and cloud solutions. Minimum 3 years of experience designing cloud solutions, especially on GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Experience with System Integration and cloud computing tools like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and PCF/PKS. Minimum 2 years of experience configuring, monitoring, and tuning infrastructure tools. Minimum 5 years of experience with Python and/or R software development (experience with Anaconda is preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills. Proven experience coordinating activities across multiple teams in a collaborative environment. Skills Preferred: L2/L3 Support Experience. Experience with system design and product management. Strong ability to perform root cause analysis. Familiarity with a range of software and applications. Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems. Familiarity with business analysis, requirements definition, and use case creation. Knowledge of IT policies, processes, and infrastructures. Experience with analytics tools, including Informatica, Alteryx, QlikView, Tableau, and Attunity. Education Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
