The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in securing cloud resources, with a solid understanding of AWS configurations for security, and knowledge of compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, and ISO. Experience with Python scripting tools will be a key part of this role as well. If you have hands-on experience in cloud security management, particularly in AWS and Azure, and are passionate about maintaining robust cloud security practices, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage security posture of cloud environments (primarily AWS and optionally Azure) using Prisma Cloud CSPM to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards. Conduct security assessments of cloud resources, including AWS services, and help configure security settings for compliance with best practices. Implement and enforce cloud security policies for secure configurations and ensure cloud infrastructure is continuously aligned with CIS, NIST, and ISO compliance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze security alerts, investigate potential threats, and mitigate risks. Develop, test, and deploy Python scripts to automate security tasks and improve security monitoring and enforcement. Conduct regular security audits to identify gaps and improve cloud resource configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve security issues, providing recommendations to the security team for mitigating risks effectively. Provide guidance and recommendations on securing cloud resources, with a focus on AWS security configurations. Collaborate with the team to improve cloud security processes and ensure consistent security across cloud environments.Competencies: Cloud Security Management: Strong experience in managing security in cloud environments, particularly with tools like Prisma Cloud CSPM. AWS Cloud Computing: In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) security configurations and securing resources within AWS environments. Compliance Standards: Knowledge and experience with CIS, NIST, ISO, and other industry-specific cloud security compliance frameworks. Scripting & Automation: Strong experience with Python scripting to automate security processes and tasks.Essential Skills & Experience: 8-10 years of experience in cloud security and cloud infrastructure management with a focus on AWS environments. Proven experience with Prisma Cloud CSPM, specifically within AWS cloud environments. Strong understanding of AWS configuration for securing cloud resources, including but not limited to IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, and RDS. In-depth knowledge of compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, ISO for cloud security. Experience in Python scripting for automating cloud security tasks, such as vulnerability scanning, alerting, and remediation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate security alerts, identify threats, and mitigate risks. Proven ability to distinguish between real security threats and false positives within cloud environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with security, operations, and engineering teams.Desirable Skills: Experience with Azure security would be a strong bonus, including knowledge of Azure Security Center and Azure Policy for cloud security management. Familiarity with additional cloud security tools and frameworks. Knowledge of other programming or scripting languages would be a plus.Additional Comments: Ideally, we are seeking contractors based in or near Columbus, OH, with the ability to work from the office 1-2 times per week. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing between remote and in-office work.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
