Role: Agile Coach Location: Troy, MI ( Hybrid) Type: Contract Position Technical Skills: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Overall, 13 to 17 years of software industry experience. 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams as a Scrum master. Experience in playing a full time Agile Coach role for at least 4 years for software development teams that was diligently applying Agile & Scrum values, principles, practices, and theory. Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games. Experience creating coaching plan, Agile Maturity assessment, customer research, training materials. Serves as a subject matter expert with training and developing content on Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other agile practices at a level accessible to beginners and diving deep for advanced topics. Assesses the agile maturity of the teams and organization and coaches the team(s) and organization to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization that moves toward an agile operating model. Having rich experience and expertise in coaching teams/squads in Agile best practices. Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization. Process Skills: Coach teams on Agile principles, values, and practices, and help them to adopt and improve their Agile processes. Facilitate team meetings, workshops, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to implement changes that increase efficiency, productivity, and quality. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to help them develop their Agile skills and knowledge. Help teams navigate organizational change and ensure that Agile principles and practices are aligned with business objectives. Develop and track metrics to measure team performance, progress, and areas for improvement. Foster a community of Agile practitioners across the organization, promoting collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practices. Advocate for the process and implement process changes where necessary. Works as an advisor, coaching leaders and teams on adapting agility to the environment. Helps design, lead, and implement an effective Agile transformation for the organization. Ability to lead, mentor and influence individuals at all levels of the organization and having the background of coaching cross-functional teams into high-performing teams. Ability to assess the organizations current state and adapt Agile practices to improve efficiency and productivity. The ability to change organizational, team or department mindsets and structures. Experience of building a culture of transparency within feature teams by empowering individuals and inspiring a collaborative team performance. An understanding and experience of applying empirical process controls. Knowledge of the Agile manifesto and its principles and experience of automated testing frameworks. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution or being judged. Facilitating discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Encouraging the team to build relationships to promote internal and external communication, improving transparency and sharing information with all interested parties. Behavioral Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience as a full time Agile Coach in an Agile environment with a customer focused service delivery model and related technology solutions and environment. Resolve technical issues of projects and explore alternate designs. Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project. Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction. Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.
