Traffic Engineering : Implement advanced traffic engineering features with BGP, including MPLS, VPNs, and EVPN-VXLAN configurations. Automation : Build automation tools using Python and Go for real-time BGP route injections and network monitoring. Network Integration : Integrate BGP with SDN controllers and modern cloud-based networking platforms (e.g., SONiC, ONOS). Network Troubleshooting : Work with Wireshark, tcpdump, and other tools to debug and analyze BGP issues in real-time. Collaboration : Collaborate with network engineers, DevOps teams, and security experts to ensure routing protocols are resilient, secure, and scalable. Technologies & Skills: Programming Languages : Python (for automation), Go (for SDN controllers), C/C++ (for performance-critical systems). Routing Protocols : Deep expertise in BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN, and VRF. Network Operating Systems : Experience with Cisco IOS-XR, Juniper Junos, Arista EOS, and open-source routing platforms like FRR and Bird. SDN & Network Automation : Familiarity with SDN tools like ONOS, SONiC, gRPC, NETCONF, and RESTCONF for network configuration and management. Cloud Platforms : Knowledge of cloud-based routing solutions (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) and containerized networking (Docker, Kubernetes). Network Monitoring & Security : Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus + Grafana, as well as security features like RPKI and BGPsec. Packet Analysis Tools : Expertise with Wireshark, tcpdump, and BGP Looking Glass Servers for troubleshooting and performance monitoring. Qualifications: Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
