Job Title: Bigdata Architect Location: Houston, TX--San Antonio, NM (Onsite) Duration: 12 + Months contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect specializing in Big Data, Hadoop, and Teradata to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data architecture, data management, and cloud-based big data ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and performance optimization of enterprise data platforms. Key Responsibilities: 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with a focus on Big Data, Hadoop, and Teradata. Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, HBase, Pig, Oozie, and Kafka. Expertise in Teradata architecture, performance tuning, and workload management. Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Java, Python, Scala, or scripting. Knowledge of ETL, data integration, and data pipeline orchestration. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, security protocols, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to design scalable data solutions. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization. Education: At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
