Mobile Application Developer - Legacy System Integration We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Application Developer to design and develop modern mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with existing legacy COBOL and Java backend systems. This role demands a strong understanding of both native and cross-platform mobile development, coupled with expertise in API integration and system optimization. Key Responsibilities: Native & Cross-Platform Development: Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Build and deploy cross-platform mobile applications using React Native or Flutter. Legacy System Integration: Design and implement RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to facilitate data exchange with COBOL and Java backend systems. Develop and manage API gateways to expose legacy services to modern mobile platforms. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following technologies: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, or Vue 3. Experience with version control systems, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and testing/debugging tools. Proficient in UI/UX design integration. Performance & Quality: Optimize mobile applications for performance and efficiency using profiling tools. Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and robustness. Implement security best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on mobile application development (or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree). Proven experience in integrating mobile applications with legacy systems. Strong understanding of API development and integration. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Woodlawn, MD.
