Job Title: Azure SQL Server DBA Location: Burlington, MA (Onsite) Duration: 12 + Months contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise-grade SQL Server databases in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies within a cloud-based environment. Key Responsibilities: 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with at least 3+ years in Azure SQL Database administration. Strong expertise in Azure SQL Database, SQL Server on Azure VMs, and Managed Instances. Experience with SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies. Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center. Proficiency in T-SQL, Power, and automation scripting. Knowledge of HA/DR solutions, including Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering. Understanding of data security best practices, encryption, and compliance frameworks. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams Education: At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
