The Sr. Cloud Engineer is responsible for the support and maintenance of cloud infrastructure with a focus on resource optimization, organizational management and governance. Qualifications : A Bachelor's degree is required, equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. Must have hands on experience managing Azure-based, highly redundant or resilient production systems. Must have experience with Azure Virtual Desktop Scaling Must have experience with Azure Resource Management Experience in helping IT teams understand how data moves across networks Must have experience in Azure configuration documentation Must have experience in organizational management and governance including resource tag review, troubleshooting, and Azure backup configuration. Top Skills : Write/ run and implement a runbook in Azure How would you test backups Documenting network topology Custom Azure Build Out (documentation, cradle to grave) not DevOps background Manual development (they do not want someone coming from large scale automation Network Diagram Creation - IP Routing/ subnetting Enterprise App Review: Review the 545 Enterprise apps in our Azure environment. Document and recommend which apps should be removed based on Sign-on logs and certification expiration records. Azure Backup Configurations: Review Azure backup configurations. Test file-level and VM-level restore playbook, documenting results and making recommendations where necessary. Azure Patch Management : Plan, configure, and deploy Azure Patch management to replace WSUS. Resource Tag Review: Review all resource tags. Correct and update non-standardized tags. Azure Configuration Documentation: Create documentation of current Azure environments, including Subscriptions, POCs, VNets, routing, VMs, etc. Network Diagram Creation: Create a detailed network diagram of Azure VNET peering and routing. This requires a fundamental understanding of IP routing and subnetting. Azure Virtual Desktop Scaling: Configure Azure Virtual Desktop scaling. Azure Resource Management: Perform Azure resource management duties by working with stakeholders to create and update subscriptions for projects. Work with the change management team to document all proposed updates, access control, and security. Azure Environment Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting access to Azure resources, systems.
