Job Title: IT Security Analyst Location: Richmond VA Work Arrangement: Hybrid Duration: 06 months Interview Type: In - person only Experience: 15 years Description: We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst with 15+ years of experience to join our team , The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security analysis, vulnerability management, and risk assessment. The role requires a deep understanding of security standards, compliance, and secure coding practices. The candidate will work on-site for three days and remotely for two days per week. Key Responsibilities: Analyze the security impact of application, configuration, and infrastructure changes to ensure compliance with security standards as part of the change management lifecycle. Assess the configurations of applications, servers, and network devices for compliance with security standards. Evaluate and document the security impact of new system implementations and new interfaces between systems. Identify and document security risks and the impact of newly discovered vulnerabilities in the environment. Coordinate resolution of security vulnerabilities with system owners, IT teams, and vendors, and provide regular updates to management. Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing thorough post-event analysis and recommendations. Conduct internal application penetration testing, document findings, and recommend improvements to strengthen security posture. Perform annual password security audits and coordinate completion of agency-wide user access audits to maintain compliance. Define security control requirements for information systems and networks and document them appropriately. Create and maintain desk procedures and process documentation for all Skills: - 5+ years of experience in IT security or risk assessment - Familiarity with NIST 800-53 rev 5 and/or CJIS specifications - Experience with software development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and role-based authentication - Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, COBOL) - Expertise in automated vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys, Retina, Tenable) - Familiarity with web application security testing tools (Burp Suite, Fortify, App Scan) - Basic scripting skills (WDL, VBScript, JavaScript, Power, Python) - IT security or risk assessment certifications (CISM, CCSP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Pentest+, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous THANK YOU & REGARDS Madhuri | DIA SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS LLC.
