Database Design: Advise on database design including tables, data types, stored procedures, and functions. SQL Optimization: Write and improve complex SQL Server T-SQL queries. Ensure efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather business requirements and ensure ETL jobs meet those needs. Legacy System Enhancements: Perform enhancements to legacy systems, improving scalability and maintainability. On-call Support: Provide troubleshooting support for SQL Server service outages. Agile Practices: Work within Agile development practices, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and new projects. Performance Tuning: Use profiling tools and traces to identify and optimize frequently run queries.Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience working in the US for US companies. 4+ years of recent experience in the banking industry (since 2017). 7+ years of experience with IBM DataStage versions 9.1 - 11.5. 5+ years of experience in ETL development using DataStage. 5+ years of experience with RDBMS technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Vertica. 5+ years of strong experience in writing SQL queries, procedures, functions, and triggers. 2+ years of working experience in Agile development practices. Expertise in designing, enhancing, and supporting data pipelines. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Additional Skills: Ability to manage the development and deployment of new projects and enhancements in the ETL process. Experience with clustering, log shipping, mirroring, and replication in SQL Server environments. Excellent communication skills to articulate technical needs and solutions to team members and stakeholders.Note: All candidates will undergo a technical screening via AI before submission to the client.
