Job Title: Automation Engineer - SpecFlow Location: Chandler, AZ Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Automation Test Development: Design and implement automated tests using SpecFlow and C# to validate software functionality. Test Framework Design: Develop and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. Collaboration: Work closely with development and QA teams to understand business requirements and translate them into automated test cases. Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early detection of defects. Test Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Reporting & Monitoring: Ensure that test results are reported effectively and provide regular updates to the team on test progress. Test Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues with the automated test scripts, ensuring that they remain up-to-date with application changes. Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the performance and efficiency of automated tests. Manual Testing (if required): Assist with manual testing efforts when necessary. Key Skills & Qualifications: Core Experience: Strong experience in automation testing using SpecFlow, C#, and .NET framework. Experience with Gherkin syntax for writing BDD-style test scenarios. Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or similar. Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git. Experience in testing web-based applications and APIs. Technical Skills: Proficiency in C# programming. Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Ability to work with databases and write basic SQL queries to validate data. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in API testing and using tools like Postman or RestAssured. Experience in performance and load testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Certifications in automation testing or related areas are a plus. Thanks, and regards.
