http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2284839&uid= Job Title: VMware/Hyper-V Migration Specialist Location: Remote Job Summary: Tech Mahindra $52/hr on C2C We are seeking an experienced VMware/Hyper-V Migration Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and management of virtual infrastructure migrations from on-premise VMware/Hyper-V environ other virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies, migration planning, and project execution. This position involves working closely with ins external partners to ensure successful migration with minimal downtime and disruption to the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end migration process for VMware and Hyper-V environments, including planning, execution, and post-migration support. Perform assessments of existing VMware/Hyper-V infrastructure and develop migration strategies. Execute and monitor the migration process to ensure that all workloads are transitioned efficiently with minimal service interruption. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the migration. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless migrations. Perform post-migration validation to ensure systems are operating as expected. Develop documentation and training materials to support the migration process and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams. Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders. Support continuous improvement by identifying best practices and process improvements based on lessons learned from each migration. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in VMware and Hyper-V migration, including migrations to private/public cloud environments. Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, and related virtualization technologies. Strong understanding of virtualization architecture, including virtual machines (VMS), storage, networking, and performance tuning. Proficiency in scripting and automation (Power, Python, etc.) for migration tasks and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VLANS, IP addressing, and DNS. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with strict deadlines. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in Agile or similar project management methodologies is a plus. Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
