The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, tuning, performance optimization, replication, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting. Financial and banking experience is a plus.Key Responsibilities:Database Administration & Maintenance Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain SAP ASE/Sybase, Redis, and Postgres databases. Manage and monitor database performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime. Ensure compliance with data integrity, security policies, and disaster recovery. Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization for high-performance applications.Database Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor system logs, query performance, and replication setup. Identify and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring minimal business impact. Implement disaster recovery plans and ensure backup strategies are in place. Debug and optimize database scripts, stored procedures, and performance bottlenecks.Automation & Scripting Automate database tasks using scripting, Python, and Ansible. Implement and maintain audit trails and access controls for data security. Design automated solutions for database patching, updates, and schema deployments.Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with Application and Infrastructure teams to support business needs. Prepare and present database performance reports, audits, and security assessments. Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience as a DBA in SAP ASE/Sybase, Redis, and Postgres environments. Expertise in database installation, tuning, replication, and failover strategies. Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu). Experience with Ansible, scripting, and Python for database automation. Hands-on experience with backup & recovery processes, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability (HA) solutions. Knowledge of database security best practices, access controls, and auditing. Financial/banking domain experience is highly preferred.Nice to Have: Experience with Go programming language for automation. Exposure to cloud-based database management (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Additional Notes: No job hoppers We are looking for professionals with stable career progression.
