In this role, you will be responsible for testing and automating ETL pipelines, ensuring that data is accurately validated between systems. You will be working closely with developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure robust testing frameworks are in place for seamless data integration and system performance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SQL, API automation, and experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and testing tools such as Selenium, Sauce Labs, and Azure Data Factory. Key Responsibilities: ETL Pipeline Testing & Automation: Design, develop, and execute test scripts for ETL pipelines, validating data transfers and transformations across systems (e.g., from source systems to data warehouses). Automate ETL testing processes using ETL automation tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity between source and target systems. SQL & Data Warehouse Testing: Write complex SQL queries to validate the data and troubleshoot data-related issues. Ensure data warehouse models (e.g., dimension tables) are correctly populated and queried for reporting. API and Microservices Testing: Conduct advanced testing of APIs and microservices, ensuring robust integration and functionality across various services. Automate API testing to verify data exchange and system integration. Test Automation Using Selenium: Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium (C#, Java, or Groovy) to ensure application functionality and user experience. Ensure test coverage across different browsers and operating systems using Sauce Labs for parallel cross-browser testing. CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Set up, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (VSTS) for automated testing, build, and deployment processes. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration of testing workflows into the CI/CD pipelines. System Integration Testing: Perform system integration testing (SIT) to ensure all systems and components interact as expected. Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve integration issues efficiently. Test Estimations & Reporting: Provide accurate test estimations and timelines for testing tasks. Track test progress, document defects, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers on a daily basis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly. Participate in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to ensure effective collaboration. Experience Required: 4-6 years of experience in ETL automation testing, with a strong focus on SQL, API testing, and microservices testing. Proven experience with Selenium automation (using C#, Java, or Groovy). Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (VSTS) for test management and CI/CD pipeline setup. Hands-on experience using Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-OS testing. Experience with system integration testing and API automation. Good understanding of data warehouse models (e.g., dimension tables) and ETL process validation. Essential Skills: ETL Pipeline Testing & Automation: Experience automating and validating ETL processes across different systems. SQL & Data Warehouse Knowledge: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and validating data in a data warehouse environment. API Automation: Strong hands-on experience automating API tests. Automation Tools: Proficiency in Selenium (C#, Java, or Groovy) for automated testing and Sauce Labs for cross-browser testing. Azure DevOps (VSTS): Experience with Azure DevOps for test management, CI/CD pipeline creation, and integration. Microservices Testing: Experience with testing microservices and API integrations. System Integration Testing: Ability to perform system integration testing to ensure system compatibility. Teamwork & Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Desirable Skills: Experience with Azure Data Factory for managing and automating ETL workflows. Knowledge of DevOps principles and Data Governance practices. Familiarity with Teradata and experience working with large-scale data systems.
