This individual will play a key role in defining and implementing enterprise architecture to support the business and technology goals of the organization. You will be responsible for developing architecture artifacts, creating solutions, and engaging with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives. If you have a deep understanding of enterprise applications, distributed systems, cloud platforms, security principles, and a strong ability to communicate with senior leadership, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Architecture Design & Implementation: Provide direction and guidance on the implementation of IT platform architecture that supports various enterprise architecture requirements and initiatives. Design and create architecture models, diagrams, documents, and presentations that clearly communicate system designs, strategies, and solutions. Develop enterprise-level distributed application architectures and solutions. Lead efforts to define and implement enterprise APIs architectures, solutions, and strategies. Data Architecture & Security: Design distributed data architectures with expertise in RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data principles and practices. Implement and enforce enterprise security principles, standards, and technologies across the architecture. Collaborate with teams to ensure security and compliance standards are met in all architectural solutions. Cloud & IT Infrastructure: Design and implement infrastructure solutions for on-premise, cloud (AWS, GCP), and hybrid architectures. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, particularly within AWS and GCP. Ensure that IT infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Collaboration & Leadership: Engage with cross-functional teams to understand and define business principles, goals, and strategies. Work closely with senior leadership to communicate strategy, direction, and changes within the enterprise architecture. Provide leadership and guidance in defining technology solutions that meet business needs and objectives. Proof of Concepts (POCs) & Innovations: Lead the design and execution of proof of concepts (POCs) for new architecture solutions and technologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of system architectures, tools, and processes. Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation for enterprise architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices. Ensure alignment with industry standards, such as TOGAF, and organizational frameworks.Essential Skills & Experience: Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or data architecture roles. At least 3 years of experience with American Express (Amex) technology or similar enterprise-level systems is a plus. Technical Expertise: Proven experience in creating distributed enterprise application architectures and solutions. Expertise in designing architecture diagrams and documents. Strong understanding of enterprise API architectures and strategies. In-depth knowledge of distributed data architecture, including RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data principles. Strong understanding of enterprise security principles and practices. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), on-premise, and hybrid IT infrastructure solutions. Methodologies & Frameworks: Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, CICD, and LEAN development models. Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP). Business & Technical Communication: Proven ability to engage with cross-functional teams to define business and technology strategies. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical architecture to senior leaders and stakeholders.Desirable Skills: Third-Party Tools: Experience with third-party tools like Adobe or similar tools used in enterprise applications. Additional Qualifications: Familiarity with enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF is a plus. Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Kanban, CICD, and LEAN development models, is beneficial.Personal Attributes: Leadership: Ability to lead and guide teams towards achieving technical and business objectives.
