This role follows the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks to ensure compliance and safeguard critical data. The analyst will work under guidance and direction to enhance cybersecurity processes and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities With supervision and direction, the Network Security Analyst I will: Assist with the implementation and management of TxDOT Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Support coordination efforts for the execution of system security plans with internal teams and external vendors. Work with users to address account permissions, data access needs, security violations, and programming changes. Adhere to and support plans that protect information systems from unauthorized modifications, destruction, or disclosure. Contribute to IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Conduct technical security assessments and reviews for new and existing applications and systems. Assist in monitoring and assessing data center physical security and environmental controls. Perform related tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in IT security, networking, or related areas. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Associate of ISC2, Security+ or equivalent certifications. Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security best practices.
