This position will support the Office of Data Governance (ODG) and Information Technology (IT) teams, working closely with various program areas to standardize business and technical metadata documentation across the agency. The Business Analyst will also contribute to other data governance priorities as needed. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, review, and evaluate business systems and user needs to align with overall business strategies. Assist in business process reengineering and identify opportunities to enhance business effectiveness through technology. Develop solution options, assess risks, and conduct financial analyses such as cost/benefit and ROI evaluations. Prepare detailed documentation, including user needs, program functions, and system requirements for program development or modifications. Engage with public health program staff daily to ensure successful metadata documentation and data governance implementation. Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with established goals. Facilitate change management efforts related to new technology and business processes. Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through verbal and written presentations. Required Qualifications: 12+ overall experience with 4+ years of experience in data governance or data management as a business analyst. 4+ years of experience collaborating directly with program/ business staff to implement technical solutions. 4+ years of experience preparing and delivering communications and presentations for non-technical stakeholders. 4+ years of experience in change management, guiding stakeholders through technology and business process transitions. 4+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
