This role demands a focus on automation, efficiency, and performance optimization, essential to meeting aggressive timelines. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage full-cycle Oracle-to-Azure SQL / MS SQL migrations, ensuring high efficiency, automation, and minimal downtime. Develop and implement automation frameworks to streamline schema conversion, data migration, and validation processes. Design and implement OLTP peer-to-peer replication strategies for seamless data synchronization across environments. Architect and optimize data warehouse solutions to align with business intelligence needs and improve performance. Leverage Oracle GoldenGate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and automation scripts (Python, Power, SQL) to enhance data replication and migration processes. Conduct comprehensive Oracle database assessments, including schemas, stored procedures, PL/SQL, indexes, triggers, partitions, and performance tuning strategies. Convert Oracle PL/SQL to T-SQL, optimizing for performance on the target SQL platform. Utilize tools such as Microsoft DMA, SSMA, Azure DMS, or other proven solutions to streamline migration efforts and reduce downtime. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that migration plans align with business requirements and technical specifications. Required Skills & Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL programming. Strong experience in managing large-scale database migrations, with a focus on automation, performance optimization, and efficiency. In-depth knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments. Proven ability to implement and manage database replication, schema conversion, and data validation frameworks. Expertise in leveraging Oracle GoldenGate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and automation tools (e.g., Python, Power, SQL). Experience with database migration tools like Microsoft DMA, SSMA, and Azure DMS. Strong understanding of performance tuning, data synchronization, and optimizing database architectures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven track record of leading Oracle-to-SQL migrations, with demonstrated success in minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
