Reach me at [email protected]) if you want to apply for the below role: Position: JIRA Admin Location: Plano, TX Onsite Type : Long term Job Description We are seeking a skilled Jira Administrator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and configuring our Atlassian Jira and Confluence environments. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure these tools are optimized to support project tracking, agile development, and business process workflows. Key Responsibilities: Administration & Configuration Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence platforms. Manage user accounts, permissions, security schemes, workflows, fields, and screens. Develop, test, and deploy custom Jira workflows, plugins, and integrations as required. Implement and maintain project templates, issue types, schemes, and custom fields. Process Optimization Partner with project managers, scrum masters, and product owners to design and enhance Jira workflows for agile and traditional project methodologies. Analyze current usage and processes to recommend and implement improvements. Automate processes using Jira Automation and other Atlassian tools. Support & Training Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira and Confluence users. Conduct training sessions and create user guides/documentation to support adoption and best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for Atlassian support and manage system upgrades, patches, and maintenance. Integrations & Reporting Integrate Jira/Confluence with other business tools (Slack, Git, Bitbucket, Microsoft Teams, PPM tools etc.). Create and manage dashboards, reports, and filters to support project tracking and KPIs. Develop and maintain APIs and webhooks for system integrations. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience, including Jira Service Management and Confluence. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies. Proficiency with Jira Query Language (JQL) and automation rules. Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps (e.g., ScriptRunner, BigPicture, Tempo Timesheets). Familiarity with user management (LDAP/Active Directory), SSO, and security best practices. Basic knowledge of Groovy, REST APIs, and scripting languages (a plus). Atlassian certifications (ACP-610, ACP-620, etc.) are a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Strong organizational and time management skills. Nice to Have: Experience with cloud-to-cloud or cloud-to-server migrations. Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab). Familiarity with ITSM frameworks like ITIL.
