I think the biggest changes are Databricks as a source system that candidates need to be familiar working with, and the bolded bullet section below is a question that came up on past interviews. For instance interviewer last time asked our candidate to create a data model after giving them a hypothetical scenario based on a stakholder requirement. Create and maintain data products for Client. Determine the level of effort (LOE) for each data product. Work with business and the data engineering teams to develop and deliver data-based insights and solutions. Consult data team and create data models Understand business KPI and design required logical data models. Collaborate with DE so they can acquire and transform the Bronze layer and silver layer of the data. Analysts will use Data bricks queries and workflows to design and implement the gold layer that supports all of the business analytics. Write the SQL/Spark SQL to implement gold tables and collaborate with DE to optimize it if needed and maintain them. Implement Data Insights and Analytics Analyze raw data, decide data manipulation, data integration, metrics building and report generation while flagging data quality issues. Implement programming in SQL and SparkSQL. Perform data modeling within LucidChart. Data modeling should include key business questions, data dimensions and their allowed values, logical data relationships and gold tables. Design and implement tableau reports; set up datasets in Tableau and refresh frequencies. Explore, connect, and maintain native interfaces from Tableau to other systems such as Saleforce and Accumatica.
